What it means

Omakase means “I’ll leave it to you.” You sit at the counter, Ren cooks, and you eat what he puts in front of you. There’s no menu. It runs about fourteen pieces over two hours.

What happens

We start light, with white fish and shellfish, and work up to the rich stuff: albacore belly, uni, sablefish. Each piece is made in front of you and handed straight over. Eat it with your hands if you like. Nobody here will mind.

What to tell us

Allergies, things you hate and how hungry you are. Tell us when you book and again when you sit down. If you love something, say so, and you might get another one.

How to book

There are ten seats and two seatings a night, at 6 and 8:30. Book online up to four weeks ahead. Tuesdays are easiest. It’s $120 a person, or $165 with the sake pairing.
